Fat Dissolving Injections
What it is:
Aqualyx is a safe, medical grade biocompatible fat-dissolving solution with its main ingredient being deoxycholic acid. It is designed to break down stubborn pockets of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise, but is not a weight loss solution. Once dissolved, the fat cells are naturally eliminated over several weeks by the body’s lymphatic system.
Areas commonly treated:
Chin
Upper arms
Stomach and lower abdomen
Hips and flanks
Thighs
Bra/back fat
Treatment time:
Usually 20–60 minutes, depending on the area.
When results appear:
Initial changes can be seen after 4–8 weeks, with full results building across 2–8 sessions, dependant upon the size of the area, around 4 weeks apart, (varies per client).
Downtime:
Expect swelling, tenderness, and possible bruising for 3–7 days and is normally gone in 3-4 weeks. Some areas may feel firm or warm as the fat breaks down — this is normal.
How long results last:
Results are permanent, as the treated fat cells do not return.
